World's first floating laboratory

NASA has always tried to discover more about the space. They have succeed many times in their experiment. For this they have been encouraged through out the passing years and they have taken step to make their research more accurate and full of information. For this they have made many kind of laboratory for the scientists. Some of them are so unique. Now the NASA have made a floating laboratory. This is the first laboratory which can float in the air. The main goal for floating laboratory is to take more clear picture of the planets of the outer space. A Boeing 747 have been selected for making this floating research laboratory. This plane is mainly a transport plane. But now it will be used as a laboratory for the space scientists. There they can have the full facilities of the laboratory. The main important part of this laboratory is that it has a Telescope for having clear look at the planets and other object of the space. The weight of this Telescope is about 17 ton. The diameter of the Telescope is almost 8ft. So ensured the full facility for the scientist and they didn't used any kind of Telescope which is lighter in its weight. This Telescope has been attached in the roof of the plane. The name of the Telescope is Stratospheric Observatory For Inferred Astronomy. This Telescope will be a very handful tool for the scientists who will research in that plane. In short this Telescope is called SOFIA. With this Telescope the plane can run more than 12 hours in almost a area of 7,624 mile. So the scientist will have almost 12 hours for their research. This plane has been made by help of the DLR which is a German space research center. At this moment the laboratory is in Germany. We hope that the scientist will use it well and they can get a huge success.
